McAfee recently announced a new online protection solution for small businesses through a partnership with Dell. The product is called McAfee Business Protection, and aims to help the latter’s small business customers stay ahead of threats and vulnerabilities through security, identity and dark web data monitoring, VPN, web protection, and more.

According to the company, the solution makes it easy for business owners to protect themselves, as well as their employees through better security of employee devices and online connections from hackers, malware, and viruses.

The product includes a security console, business protection score, identity monitoring on the dark web, user-managed protection, next-gen threat protection, an advanced firewall, a tracker remover, a secure VPN, Wi-Fi scan, password protection status, a security report, and 24/7 dedicated support. From the console, you can view the company’s protection status, manage employee invitations, and take necessary actions from one spot, which is also available on mobile devices. The business protection score is a way to gauge overall online security health. It also provides guided steps to improve scores for the company and individual employees.

Employees can create their own logins, set up their own data and device protection, and take necessary security actions. This all happens within the one business subscription. The tracker remover keeps web trackers from monitoring and gathering data about the business or employees.

Business owners can take advantage of custom security policies, automated rules to meet their needs, and reduced time spent on IT security management.

As McAfee notes, many small business owners are tasked with a number or roles, including IT manager. The company actually found in a survey that 80 percent of business owners self- managed their own business protections, yet 60 percent spent less than an hour a week doing so, even though 43 percent of all cyber-attacks target small businesses.
